A rhythm, then a letter

How to practice

  1. Choose a small set. Beginner starts with E, T, I, A, N and M. Letters covers A–Z; Numbers covers 0–9. Each session draws ten characters, with repeats when the set is small.
  2. Listen before you look. Start plays the first sound. Type one letter or digit, then press Enter or Check answer. Replay as often as you need; there is no countdown.
  3. Learn from the difference. After checking, see the correct character and its dots and dashes. If you missed it, listen to the target again and compare it with your answer.
  4. Come back to difficult sounds. Finish all ten questions, then review each missed or skipped character once. When a set feels familiar, choose a larger set for your next session.

A score you can use

How your results work

Only your first submitted answer counts for each question. A replay does not cost points. A skipped question counts toward the total but is not correct: six correct answers and four skips is 6/10, or 60%.

Mistake review has its own score and never changes the original session. Recent results keep the last five completed sessions on this browser when storage is available. Clear practice data resets those results and your settings. Unfinished sessions are not saved.

This is single-character listening practice. It does not test sending, full messages, or Farnsworth spacing, and it does not claim to be a full Koch course.

Speed and audio help

The default character speed is 18 WPM; you can choose 8–35 WPM before starting. A dot lasts one unit, a dash three, and gaps inside a character one. Between questions, take all the time you need.

Start at a low, comfortable volume. If nothing plays, check your device volume and browser sound settings, then use Replay signal. Switching tabs stops the audio; return and replay the current question. Stopping or replaying does not submit an answer.

Audio begins only after an action such as Start, Replay, or Next question. Your answers and scores are processed in your browser without an account or an answer upload.
